Anti-Spam Policy
Squinal operates a zero-tolerance policy against unsolicited commercial communications, automated spamming, and deceptive email marketing practices.
1. Zero-Tolerance Statement
Squinal Private Limited ("Squinal") is committed to maintaining high standards of digital integrity and email deliverability. We strictly forbid the use of our software engines, APIs, notification gateways, email servers, or customer instances for the transmission of unsolicited commercial email (UCE), bulk spam, SMS blasting, or fraudulent phishing messages.
2. Definition of Spam
Spam is defined as any commercial electronic message (email, SMS, automated WhatsApp notification, or webhook payload) sent to a recipient who has not explicitly granted verifiable, affirmative consent (opt-in) to receive such messages from the sender, or where the message contains misleading header information, deceptive subject lines, or lacks a functional unsubscribe mechanism.
3. Permission-Based Communication Standards
Any client or customer utilizing Squinal software to send electronic communications must comply with the following mandatory criteria:
- Explicit Opt-in: Recipient contact lists must be built organically through affirmative consent. The use of purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party appended lists is strictly prohibited.
- Accurate Header & Sender Information: The "From", "To", and routing domain information must accurately identify the initiating sender.
- Non-Deceptive Subject Lines: Subject lines must truthfully reflect the actual substance and purpose of the communication.
- Visible Physical Address: Every commercial message must include the valid physical postal address of the sender.
- One-Click Unsubscribe Mechanism: Every outbound promotional message must contain a clear, conspicuous, and automated opt-out link processed within 48 hours with no fee or multi-step friction required.
4. Prohibited Marketing Practices
Users and clients of Squinal platforms are explicitly prohibited from:
- Harvesting or scraping email addresses from websites, social media platforms, or online directories.
- Using dictionary attacks or brute-force address generation scripts.
- Relaying email through third-party servers without authorization (open mail relays).
- Sending messages to recipients listed on national Do-Not-Call / Do-Not-Disturb (TRAI DND) registries.
- Distributing malware, phishing URLs, advance-fee fraud, or pyramid schemes.
5. Monitoring, Auditing & Account Suspension
Squinal monitors outbound transmission volumes, bounce rates, spam complaint rates, and IP reputation scores across our infrastructure. If an account or instance exceeds industry-standard complaint thresholds (typically > 0.1% spam complaint rate):
- Outbound messaging services will be throttled or immediately suspended pending investigation.
- We reserve the right to terminate services immediately without refund for verified, willful violations of this Anti-Spam Policy.
6. How to Report Spam
If you believe you have received an unsolicited or fraudulent message sent from or through a Squinal platform or domain, please forward the full email message including all raw email headers to our abuse team:
Abuse Email: abuse@squinal.com
Response Time: Reports are triaged by our security and postmaster teams within 24 hours.
