Abuse Policy & Acceptable Use
Rules governing permitted use of Squinal software, platforms, APIs, and networks, along with our protocols for reporting and mitigating abuse.
1. Acceptable Use Overview
Squinal Private Limited ("Squinal") provides custom software platforms, cloud applications, database services, and enterprise APIs designed to empower legitimate business operations. This Abuse Policy outlines activities that are strictly prohibited on all Squinal-managed systems, customer deployments, and digital network infrastructure.
2. Prohibited Content & Conduct
Users, clients, developers, and visitors may NOT use Squinal services, APIs, or hosting environments to transmit, store, or distribute:
- Malicious Code: Viruses, Trojan horses, worms, ransomware, keyloggers, rootkits, or any code intended to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to computer systems.
- Phishing & Social Engineering: Deceptive websites, spoofed email templates, or fraudulent portals designed to harvest login credentials, credit card details, or sensitive personal data.
- Unlawful & Harmful Content: Content that promotes illegal acts, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), terrorism, hate speech, defamation, harassment, or severe physical harm.
- Unauthorized Financial Schemes: Unregistered gambling portals, Ponzi schemes, advance-fee fraud, or unauthorized payment aggregation.
3. System, Network & API Abuse
The following activities directed against or executed through Squinal infrastructure are strictly forbidden:
- Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS): Initiating, facilitating, or participating in packet floods, API request floods, or distributed attacks against any system.
- Unauthorized Vulnerability Scanning: Port scanning, fuzzing, brute-force cracking, or penetrating external networks without explicit written authorization.
- Circumventing Security Controls: Forging network headers, routing IP packets through unauthorized proxy tunnels, or tampering with licensing keys.
- Excessive Resource Consumption: Cryptocurrency mining, unauthorized web-scraping bots, or activities that degrade shared cluster performance.
4. Abuse Investigation Protocols
When an abuse report or automated threat alert is triggered:
- Our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) immediately isolates the affected node, endpoint, or account.
- Forensic logs, source IP headers, and payload samples are analyzed to determine the nature and scope of the violation.
- If criminal activity or data compromise is detected, Squinal cooperates fully with national and international law enforcement agencies (such as Indian CERT-In and international cybercrime divisions).
5. Remedial Actions & Termination
Squinal reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to:
- Immediately suspend or permanently terminate offending accounts or API credentials.
- Block malicious IP subnets and quarantine contaminated database instances.
- Blacklist domain names involved in verified phishing or malware distribution.
6. How to Submit an Abuse Report
To report active abuse, phishing URLs, malware, or network attacks originating from a Squinal IP address or domain, contact our emergency abuse desk immediately:
